Jonah & Valeria, with their science compadres, Micah and Abby.
Last night, we met with our groups at the lab and designed our experiment that we will put into action over the course of three days. This process included following the scientific method: Observation, Question, Hypothesis, Prediction, Procedure and Experiment. Following the work, we had a cute little coffee break with hot coffee, pineapple empanadas and hot chocolate. The experiment then had to be prepared for Research Proposal night, where each team crafted beautiful presentations. Don't forget dinner after all that work!!! We devoured through beef, potatoes and veggies. Yet again, returning to work, after a brief recess and a short work time, it was time for the slides to be presented. Our group's slides were so perfectly curated that our group HAD to go first. The proposals were presented and a multitude of constructive criticism helped students reach their potential and realize probable faults in projects. Then Beddy Bye time! WAKEY WAKEY WAKEY, EGGS AND RICE ( and beans). After a bountiful breakfast, we enlightened ourselves with the history and culture of the local town we're staying in. In pursuit of more knowledge we experienced a planned scavenger hunt around Colonial Libertad (the town we're staying in). After an exhausting long walk, we indulged in helado (ice cream) WITH CINDY (included in photo) and a swim in the gorgeous river of Cucaracho (TREE NOT AN INSECT) WE'RE HAVING SO MUCH FUN!! YAY!
HI MOM, HI DAD, HI MR. COX
Sincerely,
Jonah & Valeria (Micah and Abby too, but not really.)
